Sonya Rose is a participant in cancer programs and studies: Cedars-Sinai's Gilda Radner Hereditary Cancer Program/Novel Markers Trial - Cedars-Sinai's Tissue Bank Study - USC Young Women's Health History Study - Avon/Army of Women ... breast, ovarian, and uterine cancer studies.
Her artwork "Sands Beyond Time" has been traveling throughout 2013 in cancer art exhibitions, over 400 throughout US and Puerto Rico, presented by Lilly USA, LLC, NCCS [National Coalition for Cancer Survivorship]; also included in Lilly Oncology 2012 Art Book.
She honored her nurse, Marylou Ehret, in an essay, "Marylou's Repair Shop", which was selected for the sixth volume of Extraordinary Healers: CURE Readers Honor Oncology Nurses; as well as featured in the Spring 2013 ed. of CURE magazine.

Sonya has promoted online gambling as a model for Bet on Sports, a showgirl for Casino and Gaming Television, as well as promoting entertainment resorts and casinos including: Caesars, Paris, Bally's, Flamingo, Hilton, Grand Casinos and Conrad, all of Caesars Entertainment at the NYSE when it celebrated its name change from Park Place Entertainment. At Trump's Taj Mahal Casino, Sonya was a swimsuit contestant and danced on stage in the Miss Hawaiian Tropic® International U.S. Pageant Finals. Also, she has premiered on several television episodes on the History Channel's Breaking Vegas: The Ultimate Cheat, Slot Buster, Professor Blackjack, and The Gadget Gambler. Outside the studio, Sonya Rose was a pin-up model for several well known body-painting artists associated with Playboy, Frederick's of Hollywood, Entertainment Tonight, Access Hollywood, Maxim, Vibe, Spin, Sports Illustrated, and Vogue: Tyson Fountain, Tara Meadows, and others. She was featured on the Red Carpet at the Playboy Superbowl XXXIX Party. In addition, Sonya was Miss Camel, a high roller poker player in CAMEL's Casino internet commercial campaign.
